Primary Care Network Clinics
The Calgary West Central Primary Care Network has established two community family practice clinics for two specific purposes. The first purpose of the clinic is to provide primary care services for patients looking for a family doctor. The second purpose is to provide after hours care for patients of PCN physicians or unattached patients within the CWC PCN geographical area. Each clinic is staffed with a multidisciplinary team consisting of a Nurse Practitioner, Support Staff, Mental Health Consultant, daytime Physicians and after hours rotating Physicians. This program provides patients with primary care support and provides physicians the opportunity to build their practice with minimal overhead and other expenses.
The Primary Care Network Clinics are available to support the After Hours Telephone Support Program. The After Hours physician may refer the following patient groups to the Primary Care Network Clinic:
- Patients without a family physician
- Patients with a family physician who require follow-up within 24 hours but who are unable to see their family physician within that timeframe.

PLEASE NOTE: Calgary West Central is actively recruiting new physicians and we are unable to provide ongoing clinical support for new patients at this time. We encourage you to check out the website for the College of Physician and Surgeons (

This fall, the PCN will provide an opportunity for patients without a physician to register on our website and have the opportunity to attach to a physician once one becomes available.
