Since graduating from University of Calgary in 1991, Dr. Sy Lam has been working in Calgary as a Family Practitioner in most sectors of general practice. He was initially trained as a pharmacist in England and worked briefly as such in Calgary. Currently he is also involved with community practice based clinical research, CME organization, and teaching medical residents.
Dr. Lam truly believes in the traditional value of Family Medicine. While delighted to embrace “team approach “in primary care, I believe a family physician is the irreplaceable leader, and centre of the team.
He is married with three daughters, likes food, travelling, and jogging.
